Refund Policy

30-day no-questions-asked refund. If you buy any Tabwell Pro plan (Founders Lifetime, Lifetime, Annual, or Monthly) and decide it is not for you, we will refund the full purchase price within 30 days of the original transaction date. No questions, no forms, no follow-up emails asking why.

How to request a refund

Pick whichever is easier:

Processing time

We process refund requests within 5 business days. The refund will appear on your original payment method according to your bank's policies (typically another 3–10 business days).

What happens to your license

When we issue a refund, your license key is automatically deactivated: the Polar webhook fires a license_key.revoked event, our handler flips the license status to revoked, and the extension drops back to the Free tier on the next license check. Your local snapshots and settings are not touched — your data is yours, refund or not.

Annual and Monthly plans

The 30-day window applies to all plans equally. Within those 30 days, you get a full refund — we do not prorate. After 30 days we cannot issue partial refunds for unused time; you can, however, cancel your subscription at any time from the Polar customer portal so you are not charged again.

Founders Lifetime

The Founders tier is one-time and covered by the same 30-day policy. If you refund a Founders purchase, your slot returns to the public 1 000-seat pool — someone else can take it. Once the counter hits 1 000 again, the tier closes and the Lifetime price moves to $59.

Sunset window (if Tabwell stops accepting new sales)

If Tabwell announces the v0.1 sunset under the docs/sustainability-decision.md Branch-C runbook, the 30-day no-questions-asked window is extended for every paid plan active at the sunset announcement date — Founders Lifetime: full refund regardless of elapsed time; Annual: pro-rata refund for the unused months remaining at the sunset announcement; Monthly: full refund for any partial month already charged. The sunset announcement date is the canonical anchor; subsequent charges (if any) are refunded in full. The customer-action path is the same as the in-window path (email refund@tabwell.org or use the Polar customer portal).

Chargebacks

Please email us first — it is faster than a chargeback and we have never said no to a refund inside 30 days. Filing a chargeback before contacting us will still get you your money back, but it costs us fees and may delay the resolution.
