Save a workspace
Open the tabs and groups you need, then choose Save snapshot. Tabwell keeps window order, pinned tabs, group names, colors, and collapsed state.
Restore safely
Expand a snapshot to inspect it first. Restore everything, selected groups, or open the workspace in a new window.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Tabwell account?
No. Core session features work without an account. Snapshots and the search index stay in your Chrome profile.
What remains available on Free?
Free keeps the latest five snapshots and includes manual save and restore, JSON export, and automatic snapshots every 60 minutes.
How does the 14-day Pro trial work?
It starts automatically on install and does not require a card. Pro adds unlimited snapshots, cross-snapshot search, third-party importers, and shorter automatic-snapshot intervals.
How do I activate or recover Pro?
Open Settings → Upgrade and enter the license key from your Polar receipt. The same page links to purchase management for an active license.
Can I import or back up sessions?
JSON export is available on Free. During the Pro trial or with Pro, Tabwell can import from OneTab, Session Buddy, and Tab Session Manager.
What happens after Chrome crashes?
Tabwell can offer the most recent automatic snapshot and let you restore all tabs or only the groups you need.
Can I request a refund?
Yes. Paid plans include a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund. See the refund policy for the exact steps.

Include your Chrome version, Tabwell version, the steps you took, and what you expected to happen. You never need to send tab URLs, titles, or snapshot exports unless you deliberately choose to share them for diagnosis.
